A group of Nigerian students under the aegis of the Nigerian Community in Northern Cyprus (NCNC) has said that their safety is more guaranteed in Northern Cyprus than in Northern Nigeria.
The students came out in droves holding placards with inscriptions written in English and Turkish, with one of the banners reading: “Nigerians are safer in Northern Cyprus than we are in Northern Nigeria”.
Recall that the Chairperson, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Debiri-Erewa, issued a statement warning Nigerians to avoid Northern Cyprus.
