Adolphus Wabara, former senate president, has been named the new chairman of the board of trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Wabara takes over from Walid Jibrin, who stepped down as the BoT chairman on Thursday.
Meanwhile Nyesom Wike, Rivers State governor has said the resignation of Walid Jibril as the Board of Trustees chairman won’t stop his demand for Ayu’s removal.
The PDP is embroiled in intra-party crisis between the Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar side and that of Wike. Pundits say if the crisis is not resolved, it may affect the success of the PDP in the 2023 elections.
