A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, APC PCC, Ayo Oyalowo, has defended the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his absence at the just-concluded Peace Accord signing.
Speaking on Arise TV, Mr Oyalowo, who belongs to the publicity directorate of the campaign, dismissed the insinuation that Mr Tinubu is sick.
He said: “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in London. He cannot rest in Lagos, they will not let him rest. He came to Abuja most of the time, and they will still not let him rest.”
The official account is that Mr.Tinubu is in London to meet with an unnamed group, but there have been insinuations from some quarters that the APC presidential candidate is actually in London to see his doctors.
