Senator Ibrahim Shekarau is the New Nigeria Peoples’ Party (NNPP)’s candidate for the Kano-Central senatorial zone, according to the final list of contestants released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This is coming despite the Former Governor’s defection from the party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), last month.
The Skuup has gathered that, despite this recent development, candidate names may still be replaced in the event of death or pursuant to a court order, as per section 34(1) of the Electoral Act.
