Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday departed Abuja for London, UK, to represent Nigeria at the state funeral for the late Queen Elizabeth ll.
Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, in a statement, said the vice-president would join members of the Royal Family and other world leaders at a number of events lined up for the funeral.
Nigeria is one of the 500 countries invited by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla to the funeral.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away on 8 September at the age of 96. She was the longest serving monarch in British history. She will be buried in a private service on Monday, 19 September.
