Graham Potter began his Chelsea reign with a draw against RB Salzburg, leaving his side with an uphill task to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.
Chelsea started slowly before Raheem Sterling- who started the game in an unfamiliar role as an advanced wing-back, opened the scoring just after the restart of the second half.
Salzburg equalizer came in the 75th minute through Okafor, who was nicely set up by Adamu after evading Thiago’s Silva’s tackle. Chelsea missed a flurry of chances late on in the game.
The result leaves Chelsea at the bottom of Group E after two rounds of games.
