Police arrest ‘most wanted bandit’ in Zamfara, recover weapons

The Zamfara Police Command says its operatives have arrested one Isiyaku Babangida, identified as a “wanted bandit”.

“Zamfara Police Tactical Operatives, while on anti-banditry patrol, acted on intelligence information about an attempt by a notorious bandits’ group led by its leader, Alhaji Bello, to invade and attack some communities in Anka and Bukkuyum LGAs respectively”, said the Police Spokesperson in the State, Mohammad Shehu.

Zamfara State in the northwestern region in Nigeria, remains one of the States most troubled by insecurity. Some areas in the State are still under the control of the bandits.
