The All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu has met with some senior members of the Pentecostal Bishops Forum of Northern Nigeria.
This is seen as a move to douce the tension that has followed Tinubu’s choice of Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
During the meeting Tinubu argued, “How will Nigeria develop? How do we banish hunger? How do we improve the insecurity and how do we eliminate killing one another, shedding of blood of innocent citizens, that is what we must take to the office and not our religion.”
In his response however, the chairman of Pentecostal Bishops Forum of Northern Nigeria, Archbishop John Praise said, “We are not committed to endorsing anybody,” He added that their members should instead follow their conscience.
