The Executive Medical Director of the Niger State Hospital Management Board, Dr Ibrahim Abdullahi, has said about 40 doctors and 800 medical staff have left the Niger State health sector.
The health expert says these highly skilled professionals have left to seek greener pastures abroad. These numbers left in just one year, he added. Dr Abdullahi remarked that the State is facing a serious health personnel crisis.
Highly skilled professionals continue to leave Nigeria in their droves in what is seen as a major loss to the country.
