Military equipments found in Tukur Mamu’s house belong to nephew, says family

The family of Tukur Mamu, publisher of Desert Herald, says the military items that the Department of State Services (DSS) found in his house belong to his nephew, who is in the armed forces.

“The public may wish to know that the military accoutrements found in the home of the publisher belong to his nephew who passed out from Nigerian Defence Academy on 5th October, 2019,” the family said in a statement published by Desert Herald.

The house of the embattled former lead bandits’ negotiator was raided by the DSS on Thursday and military equipments alongside other “incriminating materials” were recovered.
