The Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, has resigned.
The actual reason for his resignation is not known, but many observers believe it may not be unconnected with the rise in building collapse cases across the State.
Lagos State has in recent times seen a spike in building collapse incidents across the State, with the most recent being the seven-storey building under construction on Oba Idowu Oniru Street, Lagos, which claimed the lives of four people and injured another four.
