Insecurity under Buhari is better today than it was before he came to power – Minister

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, says insecurity under the government of President Buhari has changed for the better.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quoted Mohammed as saying this on Thursday, at a public lecture. It was part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day anniversary,

He added, “When the administration came into office, most parts of the north-east were inaccessible due to the activities of the Boko Haram terrorists, who occupied the territory. Schools, finance houses, businesses were shut. The roads were inaccessible. Today, the situation has changed for the better.”

This remark is coming exactly six months since the abduction of the Abuja train passengers, where dozens of victims are still in the custody of the attackers.
