INEC has detected many double, multiple and ineligible registration in the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, held between January 1 and July 31.
Festus Okoye, INEC National Comissioner said: “The ABIS for the period January 15 to July 31, 2022 is almost completed. Several double, multiple and ineligible registrants have also been detected and invalidated”.
Observers have said that slips like this will only lead more Nigerians to question INEC’s overall readiness to conduct free and fair elections come 2023.
