Health care alternatives more congruent with values, beliefs – Medical experts

A research by Jama Network says that significant numbers of people in the United State and elsewhere are involved with various forms of alternative medicine.

Jama Network is an international, peer-reviewed, open access, general medical journal.

Alternative medicine is use means other than standard medical treatment.

In conclusion of their report on why people opt for alternative medicine, Jama Network wrote, “Along with being more educated and reporting poorer health status, the majority of alternative medicine users appear to be doing so not so much as a result of being dissatisfied with conventional medicine but largely because they find these health care alternatives to be more congruent with their own values, beliefs, and philosophical orientations toward health and life.”
