The Federal Government of Nigeria has disclosed that lecturers on strike at public universities will not be paid for the five months they have been on strike.
This was stated by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on Thursday in Abuja as penalty for the “needless ongoing strike”
“This will serve as a deterrent to others who may contemplate strikes in future. He added
The minister, however, stressed that UTAS has not been approved by government as it’s being been speculated in some quarters.
