FG still open to negotiations with ASUU, says Ngige

The federal government says the court order directing the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to stop its strike will not prevent negotiations with the lecturers on their demands.

“The court ruling does not preclude us from going on with further negotiation and consultations,’’ Ngige said.

“It is no victor, no vanquished.” He further reiterated.

A National Industrial Court sitting in Abuja, has yesterday ordered ASUU to suspend its seven months-old strike.
