President Muhammadu Buhari has Tuesday, commissioned some projects that were completed by Governor Hope Uzodinma during his much-anticipated visit to Imo State. Reports say Buhari arrived amidst much fanfare as women in tradition attires danced on the tarmac to welcome him.

Earlier the Imo State government had announced that the President would be in the State to commission Okigwe and Orlu roads as well as the rehabilitated House of Assembly Complex in Owerri among others.

Speaking during his visit, Buhari praised Governor Uzodinma saying he was impressed because of “what has been done within this short time and the paucity of resources.”

Buhari ended his speech in what some see as a glimpse of his personal assessment of his administration as his tenure comes to an end in 2023.
