President Muhammadu Buhari has blamed the Nigerian elites for not contributing to the development of the country, particularly the fight against insecurity.
While commissioning some projects in Imo State on Tuesday, Buhari said he blames “Nigerian elites” for not “sitting and thinking hard” about Nigeria.
In an uncharacteristic fashion, Buhari further took a swipe at his aides for not “marketing the achievements” of his administration.
Buhari’s visit may be over, but pundits say his lively speech in Imo will dominate Nigeria’s political space in the days to come.
