ASUU says reopening universities up to FG

The President, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Emmanuel Osodeke, has said that the union is willing to end its seven-month old strike.

While speaking at a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, Mr. Osodeke said that the Federal Government is to blame for the lingering strike as ASUU have forwarded their demands to the government but they “have not yet responded”.

ASUU strike just entered its seventh month and going by recent developments, both parties are still not willing to compromise.
