APC salutes Nigerian workers

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has saluted Nigerian workers and assured them of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing their living standards.

The assurance came shortly after the president pledged improved working conditions and equitable wages for Nigerians within the working age bracket.

This was contained in a solidarity message issued in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka on Wednesday.

The party affirmed Tinubu’s dedication to improving the welfare of workers.

“We applaud the resilience, sacrifice, diligence and patriotism of Nigerian workers and celebrate their invaluable contribution to the building and sustenance of our nation’s economic life. Nigerian workers deserve the best quality of life that our nation can offer, which in turn secures our collective aspirations for total and sustainable economic growth and transformation.

“Delightedly, the President Bola Tinubu-led administration remains resolute in its commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerian workers. Aside from the delisting of the Academic Staff Union of Universities from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System and wage awards for several months, negotiations are in top gear to approve a new living minimum wage for Nigerian workers.

“The far-reaching transformative economic policies of the administration are intended to expand economic opportunities and benefits for workers and Nigerians in general. As we celebrate, we implore our workers to stand fast and continue to support and collaborate with the APC-led administration as it builds a more virile and prosperous country for present and future generations of Nigerians,” the statement reads in part.
