Airforce jets bombard Shekau’s successor’s hideout

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets have been heavily bombing the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) leader Fiya Ba Yuram’s hideout in the Sambisa jungle.

NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet,  while confirming the airstrikes said “the NAF won’t however be drawn into giving the details of those neutralised.”

He said they were carried out on some specific targets in the Tunbuns and Sambisa with varying degrees of success.
