No fewer than 46 senior lawyers have indicated interest to defend the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) on Monday.
A member of ASUU, Uwar Yobe revealed this on his Twitter handle: “46 law professors (22 SANS) have so far volunteered to represent ASUU in her case with the Federal government”.
ASUU lawyer, Femi Falana is likely to lead the legal team.
The Skuup had reported on Sunday that the Federal Government has dragged ASUU to court over its protracted strike which has been going on for over 6 months now.
