The Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied jettisoning electronic transmissions in the 2023 elections. 

In a statement signed by Festus Okoye, the national commissioner and chairman of information and voter education committee, INEC stated that “the procedure for result transmission remains the same as in recent Governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States. 

The statement went further to say that there will be no change in all future elections, including the 2023 general election. The statement assured Nigerians that “electronic transmission of result has come to stay.”
