10 killed due to Cholera outbreak

Gombe State has declared an outbreak of cholera with no fewer than ten deaths already recorded across the state.

The Gombe commissioner for Health, Habu Dahiru, stated this on Thursday in Gombe while addressing journalists on the outbreak of the disease in the state.

Mr Dahiru, who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Abdulrahman Shuaibu, said as of 20 September, the number of cases increased.

According to WHO, last year alone, cholera killed over 3,000 Nigerians- the worst in recent history.
